My name is Amanda Petry. I am a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I have been working with new families for 10 years now!

The most gratifying thing about my job is to give parents the information and tools they need and then watch them succeed.

I have experience working with families from pregnancy through weaning. I have worked with an incredible group of people at UNC in Chapel Hill for 7 years now. I have had the privilege of helping hundreds of families, each with their own unique needs. I have prior experience working as a postpartum doula and as a registered nurse.

My husband (Eric) and daughter (Colette) are my biggest supporters! We have a pup named Rio. We love traveling but spend most of our time enjoying the beauty within North Carolina. We especially love to spend time in the mountains any chance we get. I am originally from Baltimore. I love coffee and getting lost in a good book.
